Bonheur won the Third Prize in Southwest China Regional Contest of the Third National Business English Practice Competition

On October 11st, 2015, the Southwest China Regional Contest of the Third National Business English Practice Competition was successfully held in Sichuan International Studies University. The Bonheur team from Zunyi Medical University stood out from 12 student teams from the universities in Southwest Region. At the end of the competition the Bonheur team won the Third prize.

As for this year’s contest, the theme is“Lead the Change”, and it aimed to improve the students’commercial communications and the capacity of applying commercial theories to reality. The Bonheur team participated in the final, accompanied by Professor Tan Zhanhai (Dean of School of Foreign Studies) , Vice Professor Zhang Hui (Director of Business English Office), Ms. Tang Jiali and Mr. Li Junshen (the instructors).

The contest included 12 teams from different universities in Southwest China, namely Sunny from Southwest University, Swusters from Southwest University of Science and Technology, Eight Immortals from Southwest University of Finance and Economics and UFO from Sichuan International Studies University. With the vision of helping the enterprises keep innovating and moving forward, all the contestant teams had conducted rigorous and intensive researches on the management, operations, human resources as well as future prospects of the businesses. After that, they focused on certain aspects such as innovations in operations, management, sales, human resources and products, and provided creative and practical alternatives. During this process, students could have a better understanding about career management, while corporations would have opportunities to find potential employers.

During the six-hour rigorous competition, all contestants introduced their key points in depth, and performed excellently. Bonheur’s target product was Mao Tai alcohol, the Zunyi local brand with worldwide reputation and distribution. Bonheur had done profound and wide researches about Mao Tai Corporation’s production and distribution. They were honorably granted the Third Prize and left deep impressions on the judges and audience.
